RoboCop the movie

The 1987 movie RoboCop is a schlocky, violent, and disgusting piece of work. In the film's opening twenty minutes, Peter Weller (a character played by another actor), is shown before he is executed by a criminal agency. One of the characters is severely injured by hazardous waste, and then dies from being hit by a car and exploding. But this isn't just random violence; it has something to do with the tale, and it ties (Robocop) into the idea. Robocop occurs in a dystopian future Detroit. The law enforcement cannot restore order to the area. A multinational conglomerate "partners" with the police force and uses the current crisis as an opportunity to create and market new pieces of military hardware. These products include combat robots that can take the place human patrol officers. The corporation will profit while improving the appearance of the area and paving the way to a new high-end neighborhood.
